Donors & HERD SIRES

Foundation Females

"Doja"

SLW 9011 DOJA 18J

Doja is a new addition to the donor pen, but rightfully so! After being Reserve D4 Bred & Owned at the 2022 Junior National Hereford Expo, Doja has raised a bull calf every year that has either found a highlight reel, or made it to the pen show at NWSS.

"Sally"

TOWNER ELVIRA 78E

A horned cow that came from a dispersal Jeff & Kevin Jensen found- Sally has made her mark on the Ward Livestock crew as the 'really good horned cow that lives in pen three.' Cattle as good bodied, sound, maternally driven, and progressively producing don't come around everyday, but we are sure glad Sally resides on Hanson Lane.

"Bridgett"

KJ BJ 167X BRIDGETT 124W

We will unfortunately never have a website-worthy photo of Bridgett. Affectionately called "the culvert," 124W made a lasting impact on Ward Livestock and subsequent customers after her time. Those who have been in the seed stock industry understand that some of them are 'just going to make really nice cows', and because of that, we don't have a backdrop of Saige's beloved Bridgett, nor do we have a mature cow picture due to her untimely death. We can admirably admit that 124W built the sale barn, maximized profits, and successfully elevated the standard we hold our operation to.

"Goggles"

H HG ELB ANNSLEY 917E ET

As a green, goggle-eyed baby, purchased from Hoffman's heifer sale, 917E sat in the barn until the Wyoming State Fair. Embarrassingly, we will admit that she was a true underdog, and we never thought she was 'ready' until Saige needed a second showmanship heifer to take to Douglas. Referred to as "Goggles" (and "Monocle" by our barn help) for her one red eye, 917E was the Supreme Female at the 2018 Wyoming State Fair. Unsurprisingly, her impact surpassed this title far and wide, view a select few of her progeny below.

"Maui"

KJ BJ 746D COCO MAUI 880H ET

Maui was one of the original daughters of Brooke Jensen's Champion Bred & Owned female 'Coco Creme'. Purchased with Colby Decker, Maui has proven to be a versatile breeding piece that has had successful daughters show for a multitude of families including her first natural calf earning the title of Supreme Female 2025 WSF.

Herd Sires

"Cartwright"

KJ BJ B002 CARTWRIGHT G80 ET

Originally purchased from Jensen's, Cartwright has proven himself a valuable asset to the program as a diversified answer to a multitude of females. Cartwright saw success as a calf at Denver, and has continued to be a heavily used herd sire at Ward Livestock.

"Rico"

GENOA 0708 FLASH 23141 ET

Rico is the ultimate female maker! Low input, soft centered, ultra sound daughters are his specialty and luckily, they all come as sharp looking as he is.

"Paw Patrol"

B PAW PATROL 19H

Excitedly named "Paw Patrol" by the Nicodemus girls, 19H has exceeded our expectations wether it be his daughters or sons. Recently securing the largest sire group in the RWB Bull Sale, we believe his sons are built to perform, and his daughters are made to last.
